| Qantas offers more non-stop flights to Australia and New Zealand from the U.S. than any other airline. Departing from New York (JFK), Los Angeles, San Francisco and Honolulu with convenient connections available from most U.S. and Canadian cities. Once in Australia only Qantas flies to over 50 domestic cities and 4 in New Zealand.
Systemwide Qantas flies 2,300 domestic Australian flights a week to 18 destinations, QantasLink with 2,000 services a week to 49 Australian regional destinations and internationally 750 flights per week to destinations in Asia Pacific, the Americas, Europe and Africa. Qantas and it's people remain focused firmly on the future, to getting on with the job and moving into a new era. October 20, 2008 is the launch date of the first Qantas Airbus A380 flight from Los Angeles to Melbourne, followed on October 24, 2008 to Sydney. Both will depart from the Tom Bradley International Terminal and feature First, Business, Premium Economy and Economy seating. All Qantas transpacific flights include complimentary in-flight meals and bar service. U.S. mainland departures feature the Skybed business class sleeper seat on A380, 747-400 and A330-200 aircraft and offer personal seat back entertainment screens featuring award-winning audio visual on demand entertainment with over 1,000 program choices in all classes of service. Time flies in the air with Qantas. Premium economy service is being progressively introduced on selected flights from Los Angeles to Sydney and Melbourne from November 14, 2008 on 747-400 aircraft. |
